Dashboard & Tiles

The dashboard is your mission control for monitoring all your systems. Tiles provide at-a-glance status information and update in real-time as events flow in.

Understanding Tiles

Tiles are visual components that display the current state of your systems. Each tile:

  • Monitors one or more projects
  • Reacts to specific event types
  • Changes state based on configured rules
  • Can trigger notifications when state changes

Tile Types

Deploy Tile

Shows deployment pipeline status with visual timeline

  • Tracks deploy_started, deploy_finished, deploy_failed events
  • Shows deployment progress and duration
  • Displays version, environment, and deployer information

Uptime Tile

Monitors service availability and response times

  • Tracks http_check, ping_check events
  • Shows uptime percentage
  • Displays response time trends

Error Tile

Displays recent errors and exceptions

  • Shows error count and trends
  • Lists recent error messages
  • Groups errors by type

Metric Tile

Shows numeric metrics with thresholds

  • Displays gauges, counters, or percentages
  • Configurable warning/error thresholds
  • Shows trend indicators

Creating a Tile

  1. Click Add Tile on the dashboard
  2. Choose a tile type based on what you want to monitor
  3. Configure basic settings:
    • Name: Display name for the tile
    • Projects: Which projects to monitor
    • Event Types: Which event types to process
  4. Add rules to determine how the tile reacts to events
  5. Set up optional notifications
  6. Save and watch your tile come to life!

Tile States

Tiles can be in one of five states:

OK: Everything is working normally
Info: Informational state, no action needed
Warning: Attention needed, potential issue
Error: Problem detected, immediate attention required
Unknown: No data received yet

Dashboard Features

  • Real-time Updates: Tiles update instantly when events arrive
  • Drag & Drop: Rearrange tiles to organize your dashboard
  • Filtering: Filter tiles by project group or state
  • Quick Actions: Edit, duplicate, or delete tiles from the dashboard
  • State History: Click a tile to see its state change history
  • Event Details: View recent events that affected each tile
